Bricks in the Wall: Know what you're buying!

Advertising as defined by Wikipedia:

 

Advertising (or advertizing)[1][2][3] is a form of marketing communication used to persuade an audience to take or continue some action, usually with respect to a commercial offering, or political or ideological support.

 

When you "advertise" you are communicating to the market trying to persuade them to do something or buy something.  

 

So when you place an ad in the newspaper, what are you buying?  Do they give you mounds of hard copies for every ad you place?  Nope. 

 

IMPRESSIONS.  Any advertising that you purchase is actually the buying of "impressions"...you're buying "eyeballs on your message".  

 

Print impressions generally fleeting...here in todays paper...gone from tomorrows edition.  To maintain an ongoing communication to the market through print ads requires paying for those ads day after day after day...once you stop buying the market stops seeing your print ads.  (Obvious, I know.)  Same with any media...to keep on communicating and accumulating impressions you keep writing a check month after month.

 

(Yes, I have an agenda with this post...my agenda is to wake you up to the best ad value going.)

 

Hmmmmm......sooooooooo, wouldn't it be nice to have a way to capture impressions and communicate to a market but only have to pay for it once?  Wouldn't it be even better if you could MOVE your communication tool around geographically (to reach different potential customers)?  Yeah, that would be cool if there were a way to do that.

 

I think you know where I'm going with this.....  Ba BAM!

 

Stop on TODAY!  We'll develop READABLE designs that communicate to the market...we'll charge you once and then we'll return impressions day after day after day after day after day.......
